Word on the street has it that, LG is gearing up to launch its next flagship smartphone, dubbed the ‘LG G3’, on Saturday, May 17, 2014, in Times Square, New York, and is expected to be going on sale in Europe, Asia and North America shortly after its official unveiling.

The new flagship is purported to feature a 5.5-inch QHD display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset, an Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB of RAM, 16GB/32GB/64GB of internal storage (expandable up to 64GB via microSD) and a 3,000 mAh battery.

Rumors also suggest that LG will showcase its Optimus G Pro 2 at the Mobile World Congress in late February, sporting what’s believed to be a 5.9-inch QHD screen, a Snapdragon 800 series chipset, a 13-megapixel camera equipped with Optical Image Stabilization and the latest Adreno 330 GPU.

As with all leaks, rumors and speculation, we have to take these alleged specifications and launch dates with a pinch of salt until LG provides us with some solid evidence with regards to what it has in store for its next flagship smartphones.
