PC World Offering The Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 For £199

Samsung unveiled its first 8-inch tablet, the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, back in June, 2013, and a month later the device was available to purchase in the U.K. from several retailers for £279. However, if you haven’t had the opportunity to pick one up before now, it may please you to know that the mega independent retailer, PC World, is currently offering the device with an £80 discount.

The Tab 3 8.0 is an impressive mid-range tablet, which packs an 8-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, an Exynos 4212 chipset powered by two 1.5GHz CPU’s, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (expandable up to 64GB via microSD), a Mali-400MP GPU, a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing shooter and a beefy 4,450 mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery.

The slate ships running the latest build of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean skinned with Samsung’s custom TouchWiz user interface, which Samsung claims is the “easier way to use your device, giving you intuitive control over everyday tasks.”
