Samsung has today announced the new Galaxy Core Advance, a low-cost Android-powered smartphone that will be available “early next year.” The device packs entry-level specifications with a focus on emerging markets and budget-conscious consumers.

Samsung hasn’t actually told us how much the Galaxy Core Advance will cost yet, but based on its specifications, it shouldn’t be a lot. It has a 4.7-inch WVGA display, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage that’s expandable via the microSD card slot.

There’s also a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, GPS, and a 2,000mAh battery.

The Galaxy Core Advance is powered by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, and it comes with a plethora of Samsung apps and features pre-installed, including S Voice, S Translate, Sound & Shot, Easy Mode, and Group Play. It will be available in Deep Blue and Pearl White, and it’ll be available in early 2014.
