Early CyanogenMod 11 Builds Available For Sony Xperia Devices

Sony has always been slow in updating their devices to the latest version of Android. While Motorola has already updated the Moto X to KitKat, OEMs like HTC and Samsung have promised to update their flagship devices to KitKat by January end. Sony, on the other hand, has only confirmed the devices that would be getting the KitKat update.

Well, if you cannot wait for some KitKat goodness on your Xperia handset, worry not as the FreeXperia team is here. The FXP team has released unofficial CyanogenMod builds for a bunch of Xperia devices including the Xperia Z, ZL, ZR and the Xperia T.

Considering that the builds are alpha in nature, expect a lot of broken stuff and instability all around. However, with time, the FXP team should be able to get rid of most, if not all, the bugs and add many tempting features.

Builds for the S800 based devices like the Xperia Z1 and Z Ultra are not yet public, but should be available for download soon. The download links for all the other devices can be found on the official project page of the FreeXperia team.
