Google has today published two new adverts for its new Nexus 7, two months after the original made its YouTube debut. Both clips showcase the tablet’s ability to be a great tool for students — but in unique ways you may not have thought of before.

The first clip, entitled “Best Friend,” shows the tablet being used by a student to find their way home to their sick dog. Google Now plays a big part — as it often does in the latest Nexus commercials — as well as other Google apps like Hangouts and Maps.

The second clip, which is called “Study Hall” and is just 16 seconds long, briefly shows how the Nexus 7 can be used to help a student get through a long night of studying.
