Google Pushing Out OTA Update For The Wi-Fi Edition Nexus 7

Nexus7-9530

Google has started rolling out a tiny over-the-air update for the Wi-Fi only Nexus 7. This upgrade bumps the 7-inch slates build up to JSS15R, which, unfortunately, does not bring any new features, instead it consists of a bunch of bug fixes and stability improvements.

Some reports suggest that the upgrade addresses the ongoing multitouch issue, which occurs when you use more than two fingers on the screen. But, bulletins on Google’s Nexus 7 support forums aren’t giving us too much to go on.

If you own a Wi-Fi edition Nexus 7 and have not yet received the 8MB OTA update, you can head into “Settings,” then “About Device,” and select “Check for Updates” to manually scan for the upgrade.
