Twitter Introduces Official Android App Beta Program

Twitter Beta Register

Twitter is the latest company to jump on the Android beta testing bandwagon, by allowing a small amount of users/testers access to a new version of its official application prior to its official release on the Play Store. The social networking giant is implementing Android’s new beta program in an effort to minimize the possibility of releasing buggy updates to its users.

There’s nothing particularly special about this program; it’s extremely similar to others we’ve seen before from competitors such as Snapchat, Falcon Pro and Facebook to name but a few. Twitter is in the top 20 of the most popular apps on Google Play, and with over 554,750,000 registered users it’s definitely one of the most popular social networking websites on the internet.

If you wish to get in on the beta testing action, simply follow the 3 steps below:

  1. Join Twitters’s public Google Group.
  2. Register to become a beta tester, by clicking here.
  3. Follow this link, to download Twitter’s latest beta application through Google Play.

Now you’re all registered and you’ve downloaded the latest beta application, it’s important to bear in mind that the release you’re using is not intended for general public use and while it has undergone some internal testing, you may still experience some issues.
