AT&T Will Start Selling The Moto X First On Friday, August 23rd

The Moto X was already rumored to go on sale at AT&T starting August 23rd, and the launch date has been confirmed today by the carrier.

Motorola has an exclusive partnership with AT&T that means you can’t customize the device with Moto Maker on other carriers at first. Only black and white versions of the phone will be on the shelves in AT&T stores, so you’ll need to use the website if you want to take advantage of Motorola’s hundreds of color combinations.

Pricing is $200 for the 16 GB model and $250 for the 32 GB model with a two-year contract. AT&T is touting its new Next program where you don’t pay the full retail price up front and instead make $27/$32 per month payments for the 16/32 GB model until your contract expires.

The Moto X is rumored to start selling on Verizon come August 29th.
