Sony “Honami” Passes Through The FCC

Sony’s “Honami” handset has appeared in an FCC filing which was submitted by the company on July 23. The document also includes a confidentiality request valid until September 30, 2013.

The filing provides us with some additional information on the “Honami.” The handset is capable of handling GSM, UMTS and LTE. The device will also have many areas of additional connectivity, including; Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, RFID, Auto RF Power Off, NFC and a Wireless Hotspot capability.

The purported specifications for the “Honami” are as follows: a 5-inch full HD display, a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, a waterproof and dustproof 20.7-megapixel rear-facing camera, 16GB of internal storage (upgradable via MicroSD to 64GB), and a 3000 mAh battery equipped with stamina mode. The device is expected to be available to purchase in black, white and purple.
