The Samsung Galaxy S4’s latest software update, which first began its rollout in Germany back earlier this month, has landed in the United Kingdom. The release is available to all unlocked Galaxy S4 units with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, and it introduces a number of handy new features, including HDR video and the ability to store apps on an microSD card.

That means that if you’re running out of internal storage, you can now start putting all of your games and other large files on a microSD card instead. This is particularly important on the Galaxy S4, which has so many software features out-of-the-box that a lot of the internal storage has been used up before you’ve even begun installing your own content.

For example, the 16GB Galaxy S4 originally came with just 9.15GB of user accessible storage, though Samsung has managed to up that to 9.23GB with this update.

Other changes in this release include:

-New Camera firmware
-Smearing issue has been fixed (Purple effect while scrolling)
-Smart Pause toggle
-Move apps to microSD card
-HDR video
-Semi-transparent status bar

The update weighs in around 385.67MB, so ensure you download it over Wi-Fi. You can either download it on your Galaxy S4 itself, or on your desktop using Samsung’s KIES application for Mac and Windows. If you haven’t yet received a notification for the update, you can check for it manually within your Settings app.

The update should continue its rollout to other markets soon, so keep an eye out for it.
