Motorola XOOM To Get Ice Cream Sandwich Soon, Soak Test Happening Now
The guys over at Android Police have confirmed that Motorola’s recent “project” for the Motorola XOOM is, in fact, Ice Cream Sandwich. It seems one of the lucky testers didn’t understand the word “confidential” and spilled the beans on the project.
Over the weekend, a group of around 1,000 XOOM Wi-Fi owners will be partaking in the soak test for Ice Cream Sandwich. Motorola is already pretty confident in the update and unless the testers find a major issue, the update will be ready for prime time. Great news for Motorola XOOM owners, and another reason why purchasing a “Google Experience” device is worth it (faster updates).
