Philips Unveils Its GoGear Connect 3 Media Player Along With A Variety Of Android Headsets [CES 2012]


Philips unveiled its GoGear Connect 3.5″ media player along with a slew of Android headsets at CES. While there wasn’t much information about the GoGear Connect 3, we do know it will feature Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), 720p HD video, Skype communication, and more than 300,000 apps and games from the Android Market. This Wi-Fi enabled touch screen MP4 player is also said to bring a superior sound experience through Philips’ FullSound and Surround for Movies technologies. No word was given on price, but it is supposed to be available in April 2012.

Along with the GoGear Connect, Philips unveiled four new “Made for Android” headsets that aim to give users full functionality of controls for their Android device. These headsets promise you’ll “never miss a beat – or a call” as you listen to your favorite tunes and remain connected, with sound optimization and personalization capabilities through a free Philips MyHeadset app. The four new headsets consist of the:

  • SHE7005A: $29.99
  • SHE9005A: $39.99
  • SHS8105A: $49.99
  • SHL9705A: $99.99

The headsets are expected to be available in Q2 2012 and should be a welcomed addition for users looking to accessorize their Android device.
