Following its unveiling of the 7-inch MeMO Pad just after CES, Asus has today announced its bigger brother, the 10-inch MeMO Pad Smart ME301T, at the Thailand Mobile Expo. The device measures just 9mm thick, and like its sibling, its focus is on being affordable — but it has some nice specifications under the hood.

The 10-inch WXGA display isn’t going to blow you away, but aside from that, the MeMO Pad Smart has a 1.2GHz quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and a microSD card slot. It also has a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera, and runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

The MeMO Pad Smart is priced at THB 10,900 (about $360), and comes in white, blue, and pink. Asus hasn’t announced when it will be available in other markets yet, but the company is expected to show it off at Mobile World Congress later this month, so we should find out more then.

In comparison with the Nexus 10, arguably the most popular 10-inch affordable Android tablet, the MeMO Pad Smart’s display just doesn’t compete, and it only has half the RAM. But it does have a faster processor, and the same 16GB of storage. It also looks to be a little cheaper.
