Samsung Unveils Its Pink Galaxy Note II Just In Time For Valentine’s Day

Looking to get your lady a new smartphone this Valentine’s Day? What could be better than Samsung’s hot pink Galaxy Note II? It boasts all of the same features as its very popular siblings — including that large 5.5-inch display, and a speedy quad-core processor — only now it’s as cute as a kitten.

Samsung hasn’t actually announced the new model yet, but it can be seen over on Samsung Taiwan’s website. It’s unclear whether it was posted a little prematurely, but it’s a good sign that the device is on its way. What’s unclear is whether it’ll be exclusive to Taiwan, but we’d imagine it’ll be available in other markets, too — especially with Valentine’s Day coming up.

Aside from its new paint job, the pink Galaxy Note II is identical to its siblings. It offers a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED HD display, a quad-core Exynos 4412 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage that’s expandable via microSD card. There’s also LTE and NFC, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 3,100 mAh battery. And because it’s a Note, it also comes with Samsung’s S Pen stylus.

The Galaxy Note II has been one of Samsung’s most successful smartphones of the past year — and indeed one of the hottest Android handsets on the market. Back in November 2012, Samsung announced that the device had sold more than five million units in the space of two months.

With that being the case, a Galaxy Note III for 2013 is almost a certainty. Rumor has it the third-generation will offer an even larger display, likely with a full HD 1080p resolution, along with Samsung’s new eight-core Exynos 5 Octa processor. There’s no word on when the device will be unveiled, but we’re not expecting it to appear at Mobile World Congress later this month, unfortunately.
