The upcoming HTC M7 has been revealed in a number of inventory listings from U.K. retailer Carphone Warehouse, which confirms the handset’s real name, and at least two of its colors — black and silver. The inventory also includes a couple of accessories for the device, including a screen protector and a hard case.

Believe it or not, it would appear the M7’s name has been right under our noses all along. According to the listing, which was obtained by Pocket-lint, the device will actually be called the “HTC M7” — that’s not just its internal codename, as we had suspected. Following the company’s HTC 8X, it would appear it may be adopting a new one number, one letter naming policy for smartphones.

The listing suggests the device will be available in black and silver — though the silver model is supposed to be predominantly white, according to recent rumors.

HTC is expected to unveil the M7 at events in London and New York on Monday, February 18 — before it goes on sale in the U.S. on March 8. In addition to a 4.7-inch 1080p display, the device is likely to offer a quad-core processor, HTC’s next-generation Sense 5 user interface, and a new “ultrapixel” camera technology.

The M7 could be one of a just a few high-end Android smartphones you see this year. Earlier today, the Taiwanese company announced its disappointing revenue forecasts for the first quarter of 2013, and announced that it will be switching its focus from high-end devices to budget smartphones for emerging markets. It’s currently targeting China as an avenue for growth going forward.
