Android 4.2.1 (AKA December) Now Rolling Out To The Nexus 7

We reported on the Android 4.2.1 update for the Nexus 4 and Nexus 10 earlier today, and now, it appears the “December update” is rolling out to the Nexus 7 as well.

Besides bringing Christmas back to the People’s app, Android 4.2.1 also adds support for joysticks and gamepads as HID devices. It’s not what you’d call a robust update, but I will be referring to it as the update that saved Christmas.

Unfortunately this update fails to address the many issues Nexus 7 owners have been experiencing since first updating to Android 4.2. Let’s hope the next one irons out the bugs.

Don’t worry if it hasn’t hit your device yet, it’s on the way.
