Google Makes Mobile Search Answers More Beautiful And Interactive

Google has slowly been introducing its cleaner, richer, more interactive search answers. You may have noticed these interactive “card-like” results when searching for “weather” or “120 X 50.” Google continues to refine its search tools and yesterday announced a few improvements to make these interactive results even better.

These quick answer improvements are being implemented to ensure users receive the most relevant information while remaining as simplified as possible. Anyone searching on google.com in English on mobile and tablet can experience these improvements in areas such as finance, currency conversion, unit conversion, dictionary definitions, local time lookup, and holiday and sunrise times.

Google promises these changes will be coming soon to desktops as well as International users, so keep on searching and see what pops up.

I love this new search results initiative (Knowledge Graph). This is clearly a response to Apple’s and Microsoft’s forays into search and personal information handling (Bing, Apple mapping, Passport). The competition is clearly a win for all consumers!
