AT&T 4G LTE Now Available In Four New Markets

Four new cities were treated to some AT&T 4G LTE goodness today, while other experienced increased coverage. Every carrier, other than Verizon, appears to enjoy switching on four markets at a time. Still, those living in the following cities will now feel better about being included in the world of 4G LTE:

  • Miami, Fl.
  • Fort Lauderdale, Fl.
  • West Palm Beach, Fl.
  • Worcester, Mass.

AT&T also announced expansions in the following areas:

  • Boston area – MetroWest, North Shore and South Shore areas/
  • Greater Baltimore region into Anne Arundel County, Ellicott City/
  • Greater Washington, D.C., area – specifically in Montgomery and Prince Georges Counties and in Northern Virginia.

AT&T’s 4G LTE rollout remains a slow one, but I guess it could be worse *cough* T-Mobile *cough*. Let us know how the new speeds are treating you and whether or not you’re still on the waiting list.

Are you kidding me?! Salt Lake City and its surrounding areas has the worst coverage, and they still neglect to give it the 4G love! Not to mention, that if I travel to the Bay Area, I continue to get miserable coverage- oh, unless I’m in San Francisco. You would think that a company as big as AT&T would improve their surrounding cities WITH their “alleged” coverage as they go…. Clearly not the case. Thanks for nothing AT&T. Your service continues to be lackluster in an era where everyone else surpassed you the previous decade. Verizon here I come.

I can imagine it sucks to be near a place with the 4G lte and not be able to have it. I’m in Austin, so now my friends in other parts of Texas are slowly getting on board with AT/T. It is pretty darn fast. I also have the HTC One X so I’m streaming hair training videos pretty much without hiccups.

As a graphic artist the 4GLTe speed is almost mandatory (I have it with AT&T in Atlanta). I imagine it might be the same for architects, mechanical or aerospace engineers, or anyone else who deals with visual ideas on a frequent basis.
