Google Chimes In To Let Customers Know Their Nexus 7 Pre-Orders Are Indeed Shipping Out

The intrawebs have been buzzing all day with Nexus 7 news. Some retailers are selling them, then they’re not selling them; a few lucky people are picking up their GameStop pre-orders, while everyone who pre-ordered from the Google Play Store is internet rioting. That’s just a short preview of the Nexus 7 gossip spewed today, and it appears Google has had enough and has decided to speak up about Nexus 7 pre-orders.

Google has confirmed via various outlets that Google Nexus 7 pre-orders originating from the Play Store have begun shipping. We can all put down our pitchforks and go back to cursing at AMC. Yes, it would be shitty to have pre-ordered a device directly from Google only to receive your product after it begins selling in retails stores — but that’s most likely not going to happen. If it does, then next time you know not to buy into the hype and simply ride out the storm.

If Google’s Nexus twitter account doesn’t have you convinced, you can always call up the Google help line and listen to the following message:

“We’re now shipping Nexus 7 pre-orders. The first wave of orders are going out today and all pre-orders are scheduled to ship within the next 3 business days. Once your order has shipped you will receive a confirmation email and tracking number. Though our agents are unable to provide a specific delivery date for individual pre-orders, please rest assured that our shipping team is working to fulfill all orders as quickly as possible.”

Fear not Jelly Bean feens, your Android 4.1 tablets are on the way. I suspect you’ll be sitting in front of the window for the next few days, planning your attack on the FedEx man when he arrives.
